EU Leaders project is a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing e-leadership skills through the creation of a comprehensive set of digital tools and approaches. By addressing the challenges and opportunities of managing virtual work-based environments and teams, the project aims to equip leaders with the necessary skills for the modern labor market. In this article, we will explore the project’s key results, recent achievements, and upcoming milestones.
Empowering e-Leaders.
The EU Leaders project has outlined five essential project results that are set to transform the landscape of e-leadership development:
- Guidebook of inclusion of best practices on suitable digital working environments:
Recently released, this guidebook serves as a valuable resource for organizations seeking to optimize their digital work environments. Packed with insights and recommendations, it offers practical strategies for creating effective and inclusive virtual workplaces (check it here!)
- E-leadership Model adopted within TBO and NTBO:
The project’s second outcome is the adoption of the e-leadership model by Training and National Training and Business Organizations (TBO and NTBO). To ensure its efficacy, the project team conducted focus groups with a diverse group of e-leaders from various countries, engaging in insightful discussions and gathering invaluable feedback (check it here).
- E-leaders’ High-tech Course:
Currently in progress, the project is developing a high-tech course aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of entrepreneurs, employers, leaders, managers, VET trainers, mentors, and educators. This course will cater to individual needs, focusing on personal development and incorporating a mentoring methodology for mentors. The course’s training modules encompass a wide range of crucial topics, including e-leadership styles, e-management strategies, e-ethics, e-social skills and e-team building, information and data literacy, information security, GDPR, e-technology skills, as well as evaluation and effective follow-up techniques.
- The other two project results – E-learning platform for leaders and Certification framework for the e-leadership skills, will shortly also be presented.
Dissemination Efforts.
The project partners have been actively disseminating the project’s progress through their extensive networks. Notably, the University of Aveiro presented the preliminary results of the project in a seminar on e-leadership at the Portuguese Military Academy. The event showcased the best practices and competencies framework in e-leadership, along with the two e-books published as part of the project.
In-person Collaborative Activities.
Partners of the EU Leaders project recently gathered in Cyprus for a Short-term joint staff training event called “Train the Leaders.” Hosted by Eurosuccess Consulting, the event featured workshops and activities centered around the competence framework of the e-leadership model and the e-leaders’ High-tech Course. Workshops were facilitated by esteemed institutions such as the University of Aveiro, p-consulting.gr, TUV Cyprus, Nefinia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, Eurosuccess Consulting, and Wisamar.
